When one job opening receives hundreds of applications, methods must change. Yehonatan Alfasi from Ti-Space shares strategies to help candidates reach decision-makers directly.

Meta fired thousands of employees. Wix sent 20% of its employees home. Monday announced a 20% layoff, with hundreds of them in Israel. Headlines of this type have occupied us all in recent months, but they fade quickly. What happens afterwards does not make much noise, but it is felt very well. This is the part that happens slowly, at home, in front of the screen.

Conversations with tech professionals who were fired in these months reveal a similar pattern: in the first week they are calm, as with their experience, it is a matter of a month until they find a new job. By the third week, they have already sent dozens of resumes. In the sixth week, they encounter what can really break them: the silence. Not a rejection, just nothing. A person who built systems for millions of users refreshes an empty inbox and starts doubting themselves.

At this point, those fired reach the wrong conclusion: they sign up for another course, change and fix lines in their resume, or lower their salary expectations by a few thousand shekels just to get a foot in the door. But their problem was never the resume wording. The problem is that they are standing in line, and in this line, hundreds of strong candidates just like them are waiting.

But the system itself has broken: when one job opening receives hundreds of submissions from excellent seniors, the recruitment team stops looking for the best and starts looking for a reason to disqualify. The market has not stopped hiring; it has stopped answering. Good jobs continue to be filled, just not through the line. They are closed by direct contact with a manager, by internal recommendation, or through a profile that managers reach on their own. Whoever succeeds in this market is not necessarily the most talented candidate, but the one who did not stand in line in the first place.

Why don't they get back to you after you submitted a resume?

The wave of layoffs has pushed thousands of excellent tech professionals into the Israeli market within months, and they all crowded into the exact same submission channel. But this channel has collapsed.

So how do you get out of the loop? Ti-Space, the career accelerator, initiated a new online workshop as an emergency live broadcast. It promises to break down the method that will help you bypass the screening stage and reach the decision-makers directly. This is not a theoretical motivational talk, but a practical protocol: what to do, in what order, and why it works.

The workshop, "The HR Bypass Workshop," will take place on August 25 (20:30–22:30) online. Participation is free and by prior registration (limited to 300 registrants), and a link will be sent by email immediately after registration. The event is intended for tech professionals with experience of at least a second job: developers, team leads, architects, AI researchers, Embedded engineers, product and project managers, and more. The workshop is suitable for both those who are actively searching and those who are simply worried about their job.

The content is built from four modules, and each offers a tool that you can apply as early as the next morning:

  1. The Direct-to-CTO Playbook: where exactly do experienced candidates fall when they try to contact managers directly, and how will you turn yourself into a candidate who cannot be refused?

  2. Narrative Engineering: what needs to appear in your resume and your messages so that you are not perceived as "just another candidate," and how to become a Business Partner.

  3. The AI Benchmark: what is the new knowledge standard expected from candidates today in the AI worlds? Including Live coding in an interview, working with prompts, and system design.

  4. Power Reversal in an Interview: how to turn from a candidate who comes to be tested into a candidate who manages a conversation between two professionals, how to neutralize common pitfalls, and how to reach the salary negotiation stage from a position of power.

One of the unique parts of the workshop is a live analysis of LinkedIn profiles and a peek into the closed resume database that yielded the highest conversion rates for Ti-Space graduates.

The workshop will be conducted by Yehonatan Alfasi, a career architect and founder of Ti-Space, who has generated tens of millions of shekels to date in salary upgrades and new contracts for participants, with a 96.4% success rate. He comes with a technological, entrepreneurial, and business background, completed three degrees (Computer Science, Business Administration, and Entrepreneurship at New York University), led a startup in the ML/AI fields, and lectures on technology, innovation, and AI topics.
