IDF 'Matador' missile discovered in a yard in Qalansawe
Police raids on crime hubs in Qalansawe and Kafr Qasim led to the seizure of an unprecedented weapons cache, including a missile suspected to have been stolen from the IDF. Five suspects were arrested.
The fight against crime in the Arab sector: during offensive operations in Qalansawe and Kafr Qasim, a Matador missile, an M-16 rifle, several pistols, a fragmentation grenade, and a large amount of ammunition were seized. Five suspects were arrested.
As part of the offensive activity conducted by the Central District police against crime and blood feuds, police forces operated this week in two different locations in the 'Triangle' area, with the aim of locating and confiscating illegal weapons before they could be used.
During the operation, a 'Matador' type missile, which is suspected to have been stolen from the IDF, was found near a house, as well as a Glock pistol. Police sappers handled the weaponry, and two local residents were arrested for questioning.
Simultaneously, in another operation by detectives from the Kafr Qasim station, in cooperation with the Sharon YASAM unit and Judea and Samaria Border Police fighters, searches were conducted at four different locations. During the activity, an M-16 rifle, a 9mm pistol, two starter pistols, a converted fragmentation grenade, ammunition, magazines, and weapon sights were seized. Three family members were arrested and transferred for questioning at the Kafr Qasim station.
All the weaponry was transferred for further forensic processing at the Israel Police forensic laboratories.
