Disney has revealed the first intriguing details about the third film in the hit "Frozen" series, which is set to arrive in theaters on Thanksgiving 2027. The plot of the sequel, which will reunite the original voice cast, will present significant developments in the lives of the beloved characters as they embark on a new, mysterious, and far more dangerous adventure.
At the center of the events will be the wedding of Anna and Kristoff, which will take place in the presence of her sister, Elsa. However, the celebrations will be quickly interrupted when the trio discovers a mysterious portal leading to a frozen, wild, and dangerous dimension from which a new and threatening villain will emerge. In addition, Olaf the snowman will have a romantic plotline of his own alongside a new character.
The film's creators clarified that two films will be required to answer all the remaining open questions, and they confirmed that a fourth part of the franchise is already in development. The musical duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will return to compose new songs, promising to continue the series' musical tradition.
The two previous films in the series grossed over 2.7 billion dollars at the global box office and won two Academy Awards. The immense excitement surrounding the third installment proves that, even years after the release of the first film, global audiences are still thirsty for more icy adventures in the kingdom of Arendelle.
