Israeli charged with security offenses: "Was involved in foreign influence activity"

The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment today, Friday, at the Central District Court against an Israeli citizen for security offenses. A gag order has been placed on the case, but the court granted permission to publish that the defendant was arrested for questioning by the Shin Bet and the police. Interrogation revealed that he was operated by foreign intelligence elements and was involved in foreign influence activity.

The prosecution stated:

"Upon the conclusion of his investigation, an indictment and a request for detention until the end of proceedings were filed against him for security offenses attributed to him in light of his operation by foreign intelligence elements against the State of Israel."

Any other detail in the case is prohibited from publication.

On Sunday, an indictment was filed against two minors aged 14 and 16 from Kiryat Motzkin, who cooperated in performing tasks for a foreign agent acting on behalf of Iran in exchange for cryptocurrency payments. The two performed photography tasks, sprayed graffiti, and worked to recruit other minors. They are charged with contact with a foreign agent and vandalism, while one is also charged with three counts of providing information for the benefit of the enemy.

Earlier, at the beginning of last month, an indictment was filed against Tramilan Amushkov and Alina Kushnirko, residents of Ashkelon, for contact with Iranian elements and performing security tasks under their direction. The investigation revealed that Amushkov was in contact with an Iranian agent, receiving payment in digital currencies, and that some tasks were carried out jointly with Kushnirko.
