"An insolent person of a despicable level": The segment by Shahar Hasson that caused a storm - and his response
One of the segments in which he spoke about the colors of the Druze community flag and the LGBTQ+ community flag caused anger among the Druze community, with even Adv. Samer Ali, chairman of the Druze Bar Association, posting a response video in which he harshly attacked the comedian: "We will not allow a chatterbox like you to harm our religion." Shahar Hasson responded to the video and sent a promise.

Social networks are full of videos of his performances, and those who follow him know that Shahar Hasson laughs at almost everything without hesitation. However, one segment posted on TikTok caused quite a stir and a lot of anger within the Druze community. The video, in which the comedian talks about the colors of the Druze community flag and the LGBTQ+ community flag, also reached Adv. Samer Ali, chairman of the Druze Bar Association, who did not like what was said, to say the least, and harshly attacked the comedian.
In the segment in question that caused the anger, Shahar Hasson said:
"The pride community flag and the Druze flag are the same colors. Do you realize what happened? The Druze flag has existed since 1100, and the gay flag has existed since 1978. In 1974 in San Francisco, they organized this flag. And then think about what happened, they came to settle on the colors of the flag, surely the Druze community said 'we must send someone to convince them, it's going to be the same colors'. They are sitting there, and then the Sheikh enters undercover: 'I'll tell you the original, maybe the colorful one isn't good, maybe something else', and all the gays 'shut up honey, we've already decided'. He, poor thing, returns to the community 'I tried everything, it's going to be like ours'. The senior Druze lowers his mustache to half-mast, 'we will have to deal with these colors'."
Adv. Samer Ali responded harshly to the segment and posted a video of his own:
"It disgusted me, and it was not funny at all. It is good to make people laugh on a stand-up stage, as you do, Shahar Hasson, this is the comedian seen in the video, who tries to make a comparison between the Druze community flag and the pride community flag, when the sensitivity is known. Despite this, he decides to make a game, a sketch to make people laugh on the altar of ratings. I want to tell you that you are insolent to a very despicable level, that you make such comparisons, especially when you then come and make a description of the Sheikh with the mustache, and the senior Sheikh of the Druze in a despicable way. We have never harmed another religion, and we will not allow a chatterbox like you to harm our religion and our traditions. What you did is libel, mockery and contempt, and we will not allow you. Hundreds of people have approached me to hold you accountable, and it may be that we will do it according to the law, but I want to tell you that we have never made a joke and have never made fun of another religion or the positions of another religion. Shame on you."
Shahar Hasson responded to the lawyer's video and wrote: "Hi my brother, I apologize from the bottom of my heart, there was no intention to harm and of course the segment will be removed from all platforms tomorrow, love and appreciate."
