40-Year-Old Man Murdered in Netivot Shooting

The Israel Police launched an investigation this evening, Saturday, following a report of a serious shooting incident in the city of Netivot, during which two people were wounded. Large police forces from the Netivot station were dispatched to the scene and began extensive searches to locate the suspects involved, alongside the collection of forensic evidence. According to initial police assessments, the background to the shooting is criminal.

Medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene and provided life-saving treatment, performing prolonged resuscitation efforts on a man aged approximately 40 who had sustained a severe penetrating injury. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, paramedics were forced to pronounce the man dead at the scene. Additionally, medical teams treated a 29-year-old man who sustained light injuries during the violent incident.

The MDA spokesperson's office confirmed this evening that paramedics pronounced the death of the 40-year-old victim and treated the 29-year-old, whose condition is defined as light. Police forces continue to operate in the area with determination, setting up roadblocks and conducting extensive searches in Netivot to trace the suspects' escape route.
