35-year-old man killed in road accident near Kibbutz Afik, 9 injured
The Magen David Adom (MDA) and Fire and Rescue Services reported a fatal road accident today, Sunday, on Highway 98 near Kibbutz Afik in the southern Golan Heights. The collision between two private vehicles resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man and left nine others injured.

The collision between two private vehicles resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man and left nine others injured. Emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide medical care and conduct rescue operations.
Upon arrival, MDA paramedics were forced to pronounce the man dead due to severe multi-system trauma. Medical teams provided life-saving treatment to nine other individuals, including a man in his 30s in moderate condition with limb injuries, and eight others who sustained light injuries. All casualties were evacuated to the Poriya Medical Center, where they remain in stable condition.
Firefighters from the Galil-Golan station utilized specialized hydraulic equipment to extricate the deceased from the wreckage. Incident commander Lahav Amal Batish stated that crews worked under difficult conditions to secure the scene and assist the medical teams. MDA paramedic Tal Tabachnik and medics Shlomi Boxer and Gadi Eli described the scene as highly complex due to the severity of the vehicle damage.
