Ramat Gan resident indicted for stalking ex-partner and distributing intimate materials

What began as the breakup of a couple deteriorated into a pattern of privacy violations. An indictment filed with the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court charges a 48-year-old resident of Ramat Gan with accessing his former partner’s phone, transferring her intimate correspondence to his own device, and sending it to their minor daughter. Furthermore, he is accused of photographing her without her knowledge while she was sleeping and distributing the images to her family members and acquaintances. It is further alleged that he edited her image by replacing her face with a pig’s face and published it on social media.

According to the first charge, after the couple separated, the accused accessed the complainant’s mobile device “without her knowledge and without her consent.” He transferred correspondence she conducted on WhatsApp with another man, which included an image of a male genital organ that had been sent to her. Subsequently, the indictment states, the accused sent that same correspondence to the couple’s minor daughter.

It is further alleged that during 2024, while the two were in an apartment, the accused photographed the complainant while she was asleep, wearing only a shirt and underwear. According to the charge, he sent the photo by email to the complainant’s father and mother, and later distributed the image to her acquaintances via WhatsApp.

The second charge relates to an incident where the accused photographed the complainant when she arrived for a hearing at the Tel Aviv Family Court. He allegedly edited the photo to replace her face with a pig’s face. He then published the photo in his WhatsApp status and on Facebook, and sent it via email to the complainant’s work colleague, accompanied by the question: “Do you know this pig?”
