An illegal gambling apartment was exposed in Hadera during a search conducted by police officers at a complex in the city. Tens of thousands of shekels in cash, hundreds of euros, and thousands of dollars were seized at the scene, alongside a large amount of equipment suspected of being used to operate gambling games.
The police officers arrived at the complex with a search warrant and, during their inspection, located sums of money in various currencies and equipment suspected of being used for gambling. The suspects present in the apartment at the time of the search were detained and transferred to the police station for further investigation regarding the activities taking place at the location.
In addition, the police dismantled seven security cameras installed at the complex that also covered the surrounding public area. The police noted that the cameras recorded areas where residents and passersby walked, and that their placement infringed upon the privacy of local residents.
The police stated that operations against illegal gambling complexes and crime centers will continue. Forces will persist in conducting searches, seizing equipment, and questioning suspects with the aim of reducing criminal activity and maintaining public safety.
