A 24% surge: Walmart's impressive figures
The retail giant reported a successful second quarter with a 24% jump in US online sales and total revenue of $187.9 billion. The company's CEO noted that customers choose Walmart for its combination of price, speed, and convenience.

Walmart's online sales recorded significant growth in the second quarter, with a 23% increase worldwide. According to the company's results report published on Thursday, this growth was driven by in-store pickup and delivery services, alongside the expansion of its online marketplace.

Walmart President and CEO John Furner addressed the growth in online activity, stating that it reflects how customers are responding to the company's value proposition:
"Our multi-year growth in e-commerce is a testament to the fact that customers choose Walmart because we provide price, speed, and convenience across a wide range of products."
Sam's Club, a key division owned and operated by Walmart, also presented significant growth in e-commerce. Online sales in the division rose by 26%, driven by the continued increase in pickup and delivery services.
