16-year-old from Beitar Illit located after weeks of searching

Shmuel Rahamim Tutian, a 16-year-old resident of Beitar Illit who had been missing for several weeks, was located overnight between Wednesday and Thursday following an extensive police operation. Police confirmed that his condition is good and that "everything is fine."

Tutian left the "Beit HaNa'ar" boarding school in Ein Vered on Saturday night, July 18, at approximately 21:00 and did not return. Following his disappearance, the Etzion police station launched a search, classifying him as a runaway. On July 23, police appealed to the public for assistance, publishing his photo and description in hopes of receiving information from anyone who had seen him or knew his whereabouts.

A police source stated that the incident was a voluntary escape. During the weeks he was missing, "extensive activity" was carried out across the country, including efforts to trace the teenager's route and establishing contact with individuals in touch with him to convince him to return to his facility.

"The missing person, Shmuel Rahamim Tutian, a resident of Beitar Illit, whom we reported on a few weeks ago, was located tonight following extensive efforts, and everything is fine," the police stated. "Thank you to everyone who helped with this."
