Tsufit Grant moved to tears: "Thank you for this beautiful and moving thing"
Media personality Tsufit Grant shared a touching clip on Instagram for Tu B'Av. The video tells the story of IDF widows who chose to move forward and find love again after their tragic loss.
Media personality Tsufit Grant-Rand, wife of musician and actor Shuli Rand, shared an especially moving post this Wednesday on the occasion of the Hebrew Day of Love, Tu B'Av. In her post, she highlighted an extraordinary musical project released in honor of the holiday.
The initiative brought together dozens of women from the Samaria and Hadar Ganim choirs, performing under the direction of Naama Zanbar. They released a special cover of the song "Lev Lavan" ("White Heart"), written by Shuli Rand, with the entire clip dedicated to IDF widows who lost their loved ones and chose to remarry.
The moving clip was filmed on the seashore, where an improvised chuppah was built from the singing itself. Every detail on set was imbued with the memory of the fallen. Deeply touched by the video, Grant shared:
"There are things that manage to move me to tears. I have met quite a few widows over the years, and every time, I am amazed by their ability to choose love again after such great pain."
"In my eyes, this is not just a choice of partnership, it is a choice of life," she added, praising their chosen path. "Thank you to everyone who initiated, created, and was part of this beautiful and moving thing."
Participating in the clip is Or Elharar Shpilman, who lost her husband Itamar and remarried a few months ago, as well as Devora Gutman, a widow who appears in the clip with her face obscured.
