The IDF and the Shin Bet destroyed four Hamas weapons depots overnight Wednesday in several areas throughout the Gaza Strip, according to a joint statement by the agencies.
The depots contained Kalashnikov rifles, explosive devices, anti-tank launchers, ammunition, and other military equipment. According to the statement, these weapons were intended for use by Hamas to carry out terrorist attacks against IDF forces operating in the 'yellow line' area and against Israeli citizens.
The destruction of the depots was carried out to eliminate the threat. The Shin Bet and the IDF state that Hamas continues to systematically violate the ceasefire agreement and attempt to rehabilitate its military capabilities. IDF forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove threats.
