IDF investigating report of 12-year-old's death and flag incident in Tulkarm

Tensions in the West Bank: The IDF is investigating Palestinian reports that a 12-year-old, who was shot during an operation by IDF units in the Askar refugee camp, has died of his wounds.
According to Palestinian reports, the child's death was declared at a hospital in Nablus. The Judea and Samaria Division has opened an investigation to determine which military force operated in the area and whether gunfire was used.
Simultaneously, the IDF is investigating who is behind the raising of an Israeli flag on a minaret at a mosque near Tulkarm. Palestinian media outlets published footage of an Israeli flag flying at the top of the minaret of the "Abu Bakr as-Siddiq" mosque in the Nur Shams refugee camp. The IDF is verifying whether this was an action by military forces or right-wing activists.
As recalled, last Friday, a group of radical activists operated in Wadi Rahim, setting fire to engineering equipment and spraying slogans on building walls reading "Mutual Responsibility." An IDF force called to the scene failed to arrest the perpetrators, who fled the area. Police and Shin Bet investigators are expected to arrive at the scene shortly.
According to Palestinian reports on social media, "At night, settlers who arrived from the Susiya outposts attacked near Wadi Rahim, set fire to heavy machinery, and sprayed graffiti."
Video footage of the incident shows several dozen individuals arriving and leaving the scene on foot. The IDF states that the military force called to the area conducted searches, but the perpetrators fled minutes before their arrival.
