IDF Warns Troops: Hamas May Open Fire
According to new guidelines, Hamas may attack IDF forces in an attempt to claim that the army violated agreed-upon rules. The military has begun documenting Hamas violations and reporting them to the U.S.
IDF forces stationed along the yellow line in the Gaza Strip have been instructed to prepare for potential retaliatory fire from Hamas, including sniper attacks or other terror incidents, as reported in yesterday's news.
Such fire may be initiated under the pretext of actions that Hamas attempts to frame as IDF violations. IDF forces operate beyond the yellow line only when identifying breaches of the agreement by Hamas, making the terror organization's current behavior a deliberate attempt to shift the narrative.
Increased audacity from Hamas is evident on the ground. While the organization previously used women and children to approach the yellow line, armed terrorists are now approaching the sensitive zone themselves.
Two incidents occurred this past weekend:

On Friday, a squad of 6 Hamas terrorists crossed the yellow line to steal IDF equipment. Forces in ambush were ordered to engage; the terrorists managed to retreat.

On Saturday, two terrorists crossed the line to steal pipes. One was eliminated, and the second was seriously wounded.
Standing orders for troops are clear: any threat within the yellow line must be addressed immediately, and terrorists posing a threat must be eliminated. According to Southern Command guidelines, strikes beyond the yellow line must account for collateral damage to ensure uninvolved civilians are not harmed.
Simultaneously, the IDF has begun documenting dozens of Hamas violations daily. This intelligence, including reports on the movement of armed militants, the planting of explosive devices, attempts to cross the yellow line, and weapons production during the ceasefire, is being shared with the U.S. and international observers.
The Gaza Envelope Forum stated: "Hamas is exploiting the pause to rearm. We must not allow them to move forces or weapons. This activity must be dismantled."
