Trump Vows Heavy US Strike on Iran Following Jordan Attack

US President Donald Trump stated that the US military will strike Iran hard following the missile attack on US forces in Jordan last night.

"We're going to beat the fcking sht out of them," he stated in a conversation with Fox News correspondent in Israel Trey Yingst.

Trump defined the incident as a "surprise attack" and noted that US forces had "only a few minutes" to intercept the ballistic missiles. The president mentioned that he watched the interception footage, emphasizing that it was US forces that carried out the operation to defend the region. Despite the threat, it remains unclear whether US strikes will escalate or if there will be a shift in targets.

Last night, the US and Saudi Arabia jointly attacked pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, approximately two hours after the Revolutionary Guards launched missiles from Iranian territory toward a US base in Jordan. This morning, Jordan confirmed the successful interception of five Iranian missiles.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the Revolutionary Guards launched several ballistic missiles in an attempt to surprise regional forces. "All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted, and US forces continue to be vigilant and remain on high alert," the command stated.

In response to the attack and more than 30 drone strikes directed by the Revolutionary Guards over the last 72 hours, aircraft from both the US and Saudi Arabia conducted precise strikes in eastern Iraq, targeting weapons sites and logistics facilities. CENTCOM noted that between February and April, more than 600 attacks were carried out on civilians and American facilities by Iraqi militias linked to Iran.

Al-Hashd al-Shaabi, an umbrella organization of pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, claimed that the strikes constituted a "very dangerous escalation and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty." According to local reports, eight people were killed and four were injured in the strikes.
