US President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he believes the conflict with Iran will conclude soon, though he did not provide specific details on how it would be resolved. Speaking in an interview with Kansas City radio station KCMO ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, Trump emphasized the absolute necessity of ensuring Tehran never acquires nuclear weapons while confirming that Washington will not launch a military strike before the vote.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are intensifying behind the scenes. A source confirmed that Qatari mediators were in Tehran on Friday to deliver final revisions to a proposed peace framework aimed at ending the confrontation between the United States and Iran. According to the source, there are tangible signs of progress following the initial presentation of the draft proposal last Sunday, with Iran's formal response expected by the end of the week.

Alongside diplomatic tracks, military preparations continue to draw attention. Reports indicate that the United States transferred 10 military transport aircraft from Fort Bliss, Texas, to airbases in the region, including stops linked to broader Middle Eastern deployments, as Washington weighs potential operational scenarios. Additionally, US Central Command (CENTCOM) chief presented potential strike options to the president, signaling that the administration is actively reviewing military contingencies.

At the same time, domestic political pushback is mounting. Democratic Senator Chris Murphy warned that congressional briefings regarding potential strike plans outline measures he described as reckless, cautioning that such military action could trigger a devastating regional escalation and undermine fundamental legal commitments.
