Trump published AI images of an attack on Kharg and the bombing of a vessel
Despite conciliatory signals from both Tehran and Washington, the US President published militant AI images depicting himself on an oil tanker and a massive attack on an Iranian oil island.
After 13 consecutive nights of fire, the United States and Iran have ceased attacking each other over the last two days, and relatively conciliatory messages are being heard from both sides. However, this evening (Sunday), US President Donald Trump published two militant AI images on his social network, making it clear in his own way that the military option remains on the table.
In the first image, titled "Attack on Kharg", planes and vessels are seen bombing the Iranian oil island. In the second, Trump himself is depicted standing with a US flag on an oil tanker flying an Iranian flag, under the caption: "This is our oil tanker now!". He subsequently published another version of the image featuring American Marines, a warship, and individuals dressed as Houthis jumping from the Iranian vessel. In other images, Trump dubbed himself "Cosmic Commander", wrote "Give the enemy nightmares", and captioned a bombing scene of an Iranian ship with: "No more engines".
Reports suggest this is the primary reason Trump ordered a halt to attacks against Iran. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated this evening that "the United States and Iran are exchanging messages" as part of negotiations.
"Our priority is to protect our sovereignty. The recent US military strikes are a continuation of the war that began on February 28. The US has violated almost all clauses of the memorandum of understanding, destroyed the environment suitable for dialogue, and betrayed diplomacy for the third time. As of now, mediators are actively assisting in the exchange of messages between the parties, including Pakistan and Qatar," Baghaei said.
CBS reported this afternoon that Trump suspended American bombings on Friday while senior Omani officials traveled to Tehran for talks. Two regional officials told CBS that the bombings were suspended intentionally to avoid disrupting delicate face-to-face diplomacy. According to them, progress has been made in talks between Oman and Iran regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
"Things are moving in a positive direction, but diplomatic efforts need more time to reach an agreement," they said. A senior Iranian official previously told Reuters that Tehran would cease fire if the US did the same. Simultaneously, US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz told Fox News that Trump is "giving a little space for talks". However, the Iranian source who spoke to Reuters qualified his remarks, claiming that "there is more skepticism than pessimism". The assessment in Israel remains unchanged: a permanent agreement between the US and Iran is unlikely to be reached.
