US President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday, during an event marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, that he arrived at the World Trade Center site shortly after the attack along with a team of workers. According to his account, during his presence at the scene, two firefighters were forced to carry him to safety after concerns arose that an adjacent building was about to collapse.
"I'm not the smallest guy in the world. They grabbed me under the arms, said 'we have to get out of here', and literally picked me up and started running with me," Trump recounted. However, according to The New York Times, no evidence has been found to support the president's story or to verify the existence of the two firefighters he claims rescued him from the location.
This is not the first time that Trump's version of his activities in New York following the attacks has raised question marks. Over the years, the president has presented several accounts regarding his actions in the disaster zone, including the claim that he brought along a construction crew that assisted with the work at the site. This claim was also previously cast into doubt by individuals who participated in the rescue and recovery efforts.

The unusual claim surrounding the September 11 events joins a series of controversial statements and content published by Trump, among other channels, through social media. On his Truth Social account, various memes and images generated using artificial intelligence can be found, including one image that sparked a major uproar: Trump is seen wearing a white and red robe and placing his hands on a sick person, in a manner that many interpreted as portraying the president in the likeness of Jesus. Following the backlash, the image was removed, while Trump claimed that he thought the image depicted him as a physician.
The Gaza Riviera Vision
Another storm was sparked by an AI video published by Trump, presenting his vision for transforming the Gaza Strip into the "Riviera of the Middle East". The video portrays the strip as a futuristic and flamboyant resort city featuring beaches, skyscrapers, luxury yachts, and dancing belly dancers. Alongside money falling from the sky, giant golden statues in Trump's likeness and a hotel bearing his name also appear, and in one of the scenes, the president and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are seen resting together by the water's edge.
