Tension is rising in the area of the village of Kusra in Samaria, following the establishment of a new branch of the Tel Talpiot outpost near the homes of Palestinian residents. On Monday, footage was circulated from the area showing IDF soldiers praying alongside Israelis staying at the outpost.

The Tel Talpiot outpost has recently been used as a base for establishing additional settlements in the vicinity. One such site was established near Palestinian homes in Kusra, leading to friction with local residents.

"There is a siege on three homes. We cannot get food to them, the settlers cut off the electricity," said the head of the Kusra council, Abd al-Azim Wadi.

According to Wadi, upon the arrival of the settlers, council officials turned to security authorities. "The first thing we did was call the Israeli police, as well as the Palestinian civil and military coordination and liaison administration. But no one did anything. Nothing. Unfortunately, nothing was done," he stated.

The council head claims the outpost was established about six months ago "in the courtyard of the homes." "This area is in Area B, not C. Yesterday they set up tents in the courtyard and cut off the electricity," he said, noting that residents are struggling to receive basic supplies.

"Right now they are calling us. There is a fear that tomorrow the food will run out. I spoke with the coordination and liaison administration, but I cannot get there because it is dangerous for anyone arriving at the site," he explained.

According to a security source, the army is preparing to evacuate the outpost as soon as possible. The IDF spokesperson stated: "The documented incident is being investigated by the commanders. Disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the findings."
