The Mysterious Investor of Hapoel Ramat Gan: New Details Revealed

Hapoel Ramat Gan is preparing for a new and intriguing season in the Premier League, following the transfer of management rights last April to the team's former star, 46-year-old Avi Yehiel.

Regarding the financial backing behind the acquisition, Yehiel previously stated that there were two people supporting him financially and that he would not have proceeded without them. However, regarding their exposure, Yehiel clarified several times that they want to remain out of the spotlight:

"You can understand them, everyone knows football and the media."

Now, in an interview with Globes, he clarifies his statement by referring to a single businessman who supports him behind the scenes, rather than two as he said in the past:

"The person who is with me wants to contribute to this club and we are doing it together."

The new owner of Hapoel Ramat Gan reiterates the mysterious investor's desire for non-disclosure but adds a new layer regarding the connection between the investor and the club: "Out of commitment to the club, the fans, and the community around it" — meaning that the owner is a fan of Hapoel Ramat Gan and is deeply connected to the club's supporters.

Despite his desire to remain private, it is worth noting that he will not be able to remain anonymous, as his name will be revealed to the committee for the transfer of rights, the Football Association, and the budget control authorities.

Either way, Yehiel added in Globes that his aspiration is for a budget of 30 million shekels for the new season in the Premier League:

"After 13 years of being away from the Premier League, we are building the team from scratch and the clear goal is first to stay in the league. It is true that big money does not guarantee success, but without money it is very difficult."
