Thailand Deports Israeli Tourist Over Koh Phangan Disturbances
Thai authorities have revoked the visa of a 33-year-old Israeli tourist and ordered her deportation from Koh Phangan following multiple incidents of harassment and erratic behavior.

Thai authorities have revoked the visa of a 33-year-old Israeli tourist and initiated deportation proceedings following a series of disruptive incidents on the island of Koh Phangan. According to local police, the tourist engaged in erratic behavior, threatened staff, and harassed visitors across multiple locations.
The string of complaints began on October 18, less than a month after her entry into Thailand on a tourist visa on September 26. Police reported that she verbally abused and threatened employees at the Phaeng Waterfall within the Than Sadet-Ko Pha-ngan National Park, while also demanding that other visitors leave the area.
A separate incident occurred on October 21 at a local hotel, where she reportedly caused a disturbance, hurled verbal abuse at hotel employees, and ordered guests to vacate the premises under the false claim that she owned the property. Authorities also noted additional complaints regarding unpaid hotel services.
Following an emergency meeting on October 22, local officials recommended revoking her visa, citing concerns over public order and the island's tourism reputation. Immigration Bureau commander Major General Chothart Yingyongdumrongkul approved the revocation, and immigration police in Surat Thani province placed her in custody pending deportation. Authorities are also expected to bar her from future entry into Thailand.
