Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Closes Mixed as Tech Shares Lead Gains

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened the trading week today following the Yom Kippur holiday, closing with mixed trends across major indices as technology shares led gains amid strong Wall Street performances. The Tel Aviv 35 index rose 0.41%, while the Tel Aviv 125 index added 0.21%.

Leading the gainers on the Tel Aviv 125, Nice stood out with a 9.17% surge to a set price of 35,710 agorot. Tower rose 8.83% to 70,470 agorot, Opko Health strengthened by 5.70% to 525 agorot, Ayalon gained 5.16% to 19,140 agorot, and Scoop added 5.01% to 29,580 agorot.

On the other hand, Tamar Petroleum dropped 4.76% to 2,640 agorot. Veridis lost 4.75% to 4,534 agorot, Prashkovsky fell 4.61% to 12,830 agorot, More Investment House weakened by 4.22% to 4,356 agorot, and Energean declined 4.11% to 3,060 agorot.

On Wall Street, trading is currently mixed following the S&P 500's strongest trading day in nearly two months. The Dow Jones trades lower, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq post slight gains. Meanwhile, oil prices are falling for the fourth consecutive day.

The local bond market saw relative stability. Tel Gov-General and Tel Gov-Shani indices each rose 0.02%, while Tel Gov-Cdum added 0.01%. Among Tel Bond indices, Tel Bond-Shani rose 0.05% and Tel Bond-Cdum strengthened by 0.10%.

In the foreign exchange market, the dollar traded at 3.017 shekels, the euro stood at 3.4583 shekels, and the British pound at 4.0309 shekels.

Trading volume in the stock market totaled approximately 4.3 billion shekels today. The bond market recorded a volume of about 4.6 billion shekels, while short-term treasury bills (Makam) reached roughly 1.4 billion shekels.
