A formal indictment was filed on Tuesday at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against 44-year-old local resident Kristina Yanchuk, charging her with a series of unprovoked attacks on passersby and property damage in October. The investigation was conducted by the Lev Tel Aviv police station under the Yarkon District, culminating in three counts of assault and criminal damage to a vehicle, alongside a request to detain the defendant until the end of legal proceedings.

According to the indictment, the first incident took place on October 8 at approximately 20:50, when Yanchuk approached a restaurant in central Tel Aviv. She struck a female patron on the head without any prior acquaintance and fled the scene. Just five minutes later, at around 20:55, the defendant arrived at the HaMesila Park in the city, where she confronted a couple. Prosecutors state she cursed them, grabbed the woman by the neck, choking her for several seconds, and spat at her partner, striking him in the chest before leaving.

The third charge relates to an event on October 5 at approximately 08:35, when a couple was driving a Toyota vehicle in central Tel Aviv. Yanchuk reportedly hurled a stone at the car, shattering the rear windshield and causing damage estimated at 2,000 shekels requiring full replacement. Police gathered extensive evidence, including victim testimonies and security camera footage, which captured the restaurant assault and led to the suspect's arrest.

During her interrogation on October 28, Yanchuk identified herself in the security footage but provided an unusual explanation for her actions. Following concerns over her mental state, she was examined at the Abarbanel Mental Health Center on October 29, where authorities noted behaviors indicating she might pose a danger to herself and others. Prosecutors also disclosed that she faces a pending criminal case for threats at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. The prosecution has requested her detention until trial and a psychiatric evaluation to determine her fitness to stand trial.
