Tally Gotliv against Netanyahu's advisors: Drama unfolding in the Likud party
Tally Gotliv confirmed she is running in the Likud primaries and addressed rumors regarding a possible departure abroad. Simultaneously, she spoke out against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's advisors, claiming they discourage her appointment as Minister of Justice.
Against the backdrop of the approaching elections and the propaganda campaigns of Israeli parties, MK Tally Gotliv clarified that she is running in the Likud primaries, contrary to rumors that she had received various tempting offers in Israel and abroad. At the same time, the politician claimed that Benjamin Netanyahu's advisors do not support her serving as the next Minister of Justice.
In a post on her X account, Gotliv wrote:
"Dear right-wing and wise Likud voters. Until the primaries, all sorts of ministers will brief against me and spread ridiculous rumors about me. I am a candidate in Likud! I rely on the trust of Likud voters! I was not offered any position abroad or in Israel. Even fake news needs to have logic... The last time I flew was a decade ago. I am a strong right-wing force in the Likud party. I am a force that guards against the leakage of votes to fringe parties. There are those who are interested in turning Likud into a sleepy centrist party, and I am in the way."
Furthermore, Tally Gotliv claimed that, apparently, associates of the Prime Minister are expressing opposition to her stepping into Yariv Levin's shoes and serving as the next Minister of Justice, in a scenario where the Netanyahu bloc receives broad public support in the upcoming elections.
"I will tell you in total secret that there are all sorts of advisors in the PM's circle who whisper to him that it is not a good idea for me to be Minister of Justice. The PM smiles when he knows that I know that he understood long ago that I am the cure for the unrestrained Supreme Court. Dear voters, vote for me. Grateful for your trust in me. Number 111 in the primaries."
