A highly unusual incident was recorded during a youth match in Brazil: players, staff, and referees were forced to flee the field following an invasion of bees. The event occurred in the 11th minute at the Joia da Princesa stadium in Feira de Santana, during a cup match between Bahia and Fluminense de Feira.

Players from both teams and the officiating crew lay down on the grass in an attempt to avoid stings, but when they realized the situation would not improve, they were forced to leave the field. In an attempt to solve the problem, stadium staff activated the sprinkler system in the hope that it would disperse the swarm. After a break that lasted about ten minutes, the game was resumed. As for the match itself, the players of Bahia defeated Fluminense de Feira 8:0.
