Surprise at a Hasidic wedding: The groom is a Beitar fan – and this is how his friends celebrated

Surprising footage from a Hasidic wedding held in the ultra-Orthodox city of Modi'in Illit shows a sight not seen every evening: dozens of Hasidim dancing to the sounds of Beitar Jerusalem songs and waving yellow-and-black scarves in the air.

One of the celebrants even arrived wearing a shirt commemorating Beitar's 6:2 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv last season. However, it turns out that behind the Beitar-themed celebration was a surprise planned by the groom's friends, as he is a fan of the team himself.

Aryeh Stein, a guest who attended the wedding, told C14: "The groom in question is a Beitar fan, so one of the friends surprised him, brought a bag full of scarves, and they rejoiced and danced in honor of the groom with the team he supports, with the scarves that represent his team."

Stein concluded the unusual scene with a smile: "In the end, everyone is indeed black and white, but apparently, into this black and white, a little yellow and black color also enters."
