According to the housing price index from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), published last week alongside the consumer price index, a 0.1% increase in prices was recorded in May-June 2026 compared to transactions carried out in April-May of the same year. Price changes during this period were as follows: Jerusalem (1.8%), the North (0.9%), Haifa (1.5%), the Center (-1.0%), Tel Aviv (-0.7%), and the South (0.7%).
Comparing transactions from May-June 2026 to the April-May period, the new apartment price index rose by 0.5%. The share of new apartment transactions under government subsidies increased from 36.4% in the previous period to 38.4% in the current one. Our analysis shows that the new apartment price index, excluding government-supported transactions, rose by 0.9%.
