Following Channel 14 investigation: MK calls to disqualify Ra'am from the Knesset

MK Limor Son Har-Melech of the Otzma Yehudit party commented today (Thursday) in a post on the X network on the comprehensive investigation conducted by our Arab affairs correspondent, Omri Haim, in his film "Mansour Abbas - The Polite Jihad," which examined the figure of the Ra'am chairman.

The MK welcomed the investigation and stated:

"In light of the findings, the Ra'am party should be disqualified from running for the Knesset, and it is time to draw a clear red line."

According to her, she has held many discussions over the past few years together with the Chairman of the National Security Committee, MK Zvika Fogel, in which evidence and documents were presented indicating that Ra'am and the Islamic Movement maintain close ties with terrorist elements operating against the state.

"Time and again it has been proven that behind the 'civil' discourse hides an ideological worldview that works to promote nationalist and Islamist interests from within the state's institutions," she noted.

Son Har-Melech emphasized that when a Knesset member calls Israel "the Zionist enemy," denies the Jewish people's right to Jerusalem, or expresses solidarity with Hamas and supports messages of "return" and "liberation" – this is not a political dispute but a denial of the state's very existence. She further called on the legal system to stop treating Ra'am as a legitimate party:

"Whoever cooperates with terrorist organizations cannot run for the Knesset. Anyone who chooses to include them in any political bloc bears public and moral responsibility for this."
