Static faces fire and speaks about the parting: "It's easiest to say yes"
Static faced a wave of harsh criticism on social media following the replacement of a contestant on the Reshet 13 program, and this morning he posted a story clarifying his stance on the move.
Rapper and songwriter Static (Liraz Russo) decided not to remain silent in the face of a wave of social media criticism, responding this morning to users angry about the surprising elimination and replacement he carried out on the program "The Voice" on Reshet 13. In an Instagram story, he clarified that he absolutely does not regret his decision.
"It's easiest to say yes to absolve myself of responsibility, but this is my real decision that I stand behind."
From Static's perspective, the show's replacement mechanism is the fairest aspect of the format. He explained that without it, talented contestants who auditioned in later stages would be disqualified simply because teams were already full. He argued that this method maintains fairness by making one's position in the audition queue irrelevant.
To justify the replacement, Static offered high praise for the new singer he brought into his team, noting her extraordinary talent:
"I am here to be as fair as I can. Listen to this girl — doesn't this monster talent deserve a spot?"
Beyond that, he shared insights on the music world, noting that while television can sometimes be blinding, "whoever is talented is talented and whoever persists succeeds," regardless of what happens on screen. Towards the end, the rapper clarified that painful partings are an inevitable part of the format:
"Many more good and talented people will be eliminated by me and in the other teams, and in the end, only one wins."
