Spotify Suffers Global Outage Affecting Hundreds of Thousands Worldwide
Spotify suffers a global outage affecting over 200,000 users across 173 countries, with issues ranging from app crashes to playback failures and server connection errors.
Many users worldwide are reporting widespread outages affecting the popular music streaming service Spotify. According to Downdetector, more than 20,000 users have flagged technical issues, with reports indicating that the application fails to launch for some users, while others experience playback errors, search failures, and server connection drops.
In Israel, several hundred reports were logged on Downdetector, compared to roughly 17,000 in the United States. According to a Forbes report citing Ookla, over 200,000 malfunction reports were registered across 173 countries.
At this stage, no official cause for the outage has been released. Spotify posted on X: "We're aware of issues temporarily affecting our app. We’re actively working to quickly resolve them."
