The world of mixed martial arts has witnessed one of its most bizarre incidents of the year, as a 19-year-old South African fighter went viral for a provocative move during a championship bout.

Slyd Shadowshot secured a title fight against Kevin Nsiona at the Moer 'n Boer 3 tournament hosted by Versus Promotions in Pretoria. During the welterweight championship clash, Shadowshot gained a dominant position on the mat, repeatedly pressing his groin near his opponent's face. Ringside officials initially appeared stunned before bursting into laughter. Following the round, Shadowshot flashed a middle finger toward Nsiona.

According to Shadowshot, the bizarre gesture was an act of retaliation. He claimed that Nsiona had directed a homophobic slur at him after being taken down. The victor later posted the footage on social media with a humorous caption and music, asking followers if they were entertained.

Despite the unorthodox tactics, the referee did not penalize Shadowshot. The bout concluded cleanly in the third round when Shadowshot secured a submission victory at 1:32, maintaining his undefeated amateur record.
