Tensions with Iran have reached a peak, with the situation on the verge of an explosion, an Israeli source told N12 on Saturday.

According to the source, Israel estimates that US President Donald Trump is closer than ever to authorizing a significant attack on Iran, though a final decision has not yet been made. Israel has raised its alert level. The source noted that it remains unclear whether Trump intends to involve Israel in the initial phase of the operation.

Scenarios presented at the White House suggest that a significant and focused strike on energy facilities in Iran could destabilize the regime. Such an attack could be time-limited and would not necessarily trigger a global "energy war."

"It is not a question of if, but when. All signs indicate that Trump has no choice but to move in this direction," the source added.

The US has expanded its warning for citizens in the Middle East. The State Department has urged Americans to exercise increased vigilance and be prepared for potential flight cancellations or airspace closures, recommending that they consider leaving the region.

Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, responded to Trump's threats:

"You calculate according to military equations, but we respond according to the logic of history. Hitting Iran's infrastructure will directly trigger geological fractures upon which your hegemony has been built for 250 years. When the pillars of this system collapse, there will remain neither a center for command nor a market for plunder."
