Investigation: Eldar's friends suspected of striking him with a helmet

The investigation into the death of Eldar Dayan continues to develop, with police currently focusing on several significant lines of inquiry that may impact the proceedings against the suspects. At the same time, investigators are awaiting the findings of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, which are expected to clarify the circumstances of the death.

One of the central lines of inquiry is the suspicion that the helmets recovered this week were used to strike Eldar, and forensic experts are checking whether he suffered a skull fracture as a result of a blow. Simultaneously, investigators are examining the possibility that Eldar collapsed due to extreme heat. At this stage, all possibilities remain under consideration as police await the forensic findings to determine the cause of death.

Following the identification of the body, the commander of the Sharon District Major Crimes Unit (YAMAR), Captain Ohad Goldberg, met with the family to personally inform them of the tragic news. The family members received the update with shock and have demanded that the police bring all those involved to justice. Eldar's mother stated with pain:

"A mother feels everything."

The suspects are expected to return for questioning tomorrow, and the police are preparing to confront them with the suspicion of murder, depending on the latest developments. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities believe that the autopsy results and forensic data will be decisive in determining the sequence of events and whether the case will be prosecuted as murder or another form of fatal incident.
