Sukkot in Ramat Gan: The big change for NEXT 2026

After "NEXT" was held exclusively during Hanukkah and at the Menora Arena, mako has learned that this year the organizers are planning to hold the show during Sukkot as well, and instead of the arena, it will take place at the Ramat Gan Stadium.

After years, the NEXT show will also be held at the Ramat Gan Stadium, mako has learned. The singer and the production team have decided to add dates during the Sukkot holiday at the Ramat Gan Stadium, in addition to the regular series of performances during Hanukkah. As previously reported here, this year Osher Cohen and Ben Tzur will take part, alongside Odia, Idan Amedi, and Rita.

It is likely that the desire to perform in Ramat Gan comes after the successful stadium tour of Omer Adam, Osher Cohen, and Odia, and the high demand for tickets. The NEXT show grew out of Hanukkah performances called "Pop Up Music," which took place in 2018 and 2019 led by Omer Adam. In its current format—a large musical show for a family and adult audience, without a plot or characters like in the Festigal—it was launched in 2021 with a rotating cast of artists, joint performances, and a large-scale stage production.

In 2022, participants included Omer Adam, Nasrin Kadri, Idan Raichel, Ran Danker, and Sarit Hadad. Since then, NEXT has become a Hanukkah tradition, with performances held mainly at the Menora Arena in Tel Aviv and the Pais Arena in Jerusalem, and each year a new combination of solos, arrangements, and collaborations is built for them. The show planned for 2023 was postponed due to the war, but returned in Hanukkah 2024 with Aviv Geffen, Omer Adam, Odia, Osher Cohen, Moshe Peretz, and Eden Golan. In 2025, participants included, among others, Odia, Osher Cohen, Amir Dadon, Liran Danino, Ninet Tayeb, Nasrin, and Omer Adam.
