Josh Primo's complications
Primo was selected 12th overall by the San Antonio Spurs and played for them until October 2022 - when a scandal erupted that led to his removal from the team. The Spurs announced his immediate release after it was discovered that he had been harassing and performing indecent acts in front of several women who worked for the club, including nine times when he exposed himself to a psychologist who resigned and decided to sue the club. Primo claimed he was released because he was dealing with "horrific panic attacks due to personal trauma".
In the 2023/24 season, he made two NBA appearances for the Los Angeles Clippers, and has not returned to the league since. Last season, he did not play due to injury.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's schedule
Maccabi Tel Aviv will officially open team training on August 20, with the first preparation game taking place on September 3 at Hadar Yosef against Bnei Herzliya. Five days later, the Tel Avivians will meet Maccabi Rishon LeZion for a second preparation game in Israel.
From there, the double-winners will fly to Cyprus and on September 11 will play a preparation game against the renewed and intriguing Aris Thessaloniki of Vassilis Spanoulis. 48 hours later, the Israeli champion will meet EuroLeague holder Olympiacos for its final preparation game of the season, before the Super Cup against city rival Hapoel Tel Aviv on September 17.
