Unexpected Poll: Likud Strengthens, Bennett-Lapid Alliance Lags Behind
A new mandate poll reveals a surprising shift in the political map, with Likud recording a significant surge while the much-discussed alliance of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid struggles to gain traction, remaining far behind.
Today, Thursday, a new mandate poll was published on the i24NEWS channel, showing that the Likud party, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is strengthening and garnering 28 mandates.
In second place is the Yashar party of Gadi Eisenkot with 23 mandates, followed by the Democrats party with 10 mandates. The United Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beiteinu parties each obtain 9 mandates. According to the data, the Otzma Yehudit party of Minister Itamar Ben Gvir receives 8 mandates, as do the Shas party and the Joint List. The BEYAHAD party, established by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, stands behind with 7 mandates. The Religious Zionism party and Ra'am each receive 5 mandates.
The Beit Tzioni, Gilad Erdan, Zehut, and Blue and White parties do not pass the electoral threshold. Also sampled but not passing 1% were the Economic Party and the Noam Le-Israel party.

The poll, broadcast this evening on the program '7 - Nadav Elimelech', was conducted by Direct Polls Ltd. headed by Tzuriel Sharon for i24NEWS on August 6, 2026. The survey included 535 adult respondents (18+) representing a representative sample of the general population in Israel. The statistical margin of error is ±4.2% with a 95% probability.
