"Going to hunt them": The Gordon brothers prepare for the big fight night
The GFN event will be held on Monday at the Menora Mivtachim Arena, featuring the three Gordon brothers in main card bouts against international opponents. At the press conference, the fighters did not hold back with combative remarks ahead of their ring appearances.
The official press conference for the GFN (Gordon Fight Night) event took place this Friday, ahead of the major fight night scheduled for Monday, July 27, at 18:00 at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.
This is the first event of its kind in Israel for Muay Thai and kickboxing, featuring the three Gordon brothers—Ahavat Hashem, Ruach Hashem, and Kivdi—who will enter the ring together for the first time on the same evening to face international opponents. In addition to them, top Israeli fighters will compete against rivals from around the world.
Ahavat Hashem Gordon, who is set to meet John Lineker, stated:
"Unequivocally, this is the most challenging opponent I have had to date, but I am showing everyone that I belong to the highest levels in the world. It is going to be a difficult fight, but the old story is over and a new one begins."
Lineker replied: "I am grateful for the opportunity to be here and very excited about this fight."
Ruach Hashem Gordon, who will face Maximus Bagionetta, provided the most combative statement:
"I am going to hunt him down. I will be one step ahead of him, putting a lot of pressure on him. I saw him in the sauna, we were there together, and he looked very weak. I have no doubt that the storm will take him down too."
Bagionetta settled for a brief response: "I am very happy to be here and to fight this coming Monday."
Kivdi Gordon also did not hide his confidence ahead of his bout against Jose:
"This is the most challenging opponent I have had to date. This is my time to bloom. One round with me and he is going to sleep."
His opponent replied: "I want to thank the people of Israel for the hospitality. The real war will be inside the ring, and there we will see who is better."
The organizers define GFN as the most ambitious combat sports event held to date in Israel, connecting elite sports, international production standards, and high-level Muay Thai and kickboxing, with the hope of turning it into a tradition in the coming years.
