The political system expressed outrage over the post by Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas on social media, in which he claimed that the Jewishness of the State of Israel was forced upon him and the Arab public, and that he does not deny the Nakba.

Religious Zionism party chairman Bezalel Smotrich said in response:

"For years I have been warning about the 'taqiyya' (dissimulation) method of Mansour Abbas. This is a fundamental layer in the method of the Muslim Brotherhood movement: they hide the true goal, accumulate power, and use it for the true goal - jihad and the elimination of the 'infidels', with an emphasis on Jews and the State of Israel. Mansour Abbas is a dangerous enemy - a wolf in sheep's clothing. The fact that Eisenkot and the left are still striving to form a government with him is a dangerous lapse in judgment. I am proud of my stand against forming a government with him, when even in the national camp there were those who were confused and followed his sweet talk, as well as for leading a determined opposition that brought down the left's Muslim Brotherhood government. I pledge to do everything so that the State of Israel will never be sold to its enemies or be dependent on them."

Chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party, Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter: "Anyone who does not recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish state can go to any Arab country he wants, and it is certainly forbidden for such a person to be able to be elected to the Knesset. It is time to internalize - what was, will not be."

Yoaz Hendel: "Let anyone who attacks us since the founding of the state, and certainly after October 7, know that the result will be a Nakba. Mansour Abbas's words reveal not only that he cannot be a member of the government, but also that he is not worthy of being a Knesset member."
