If everything is ready for an attack – why does the US continue to stall?

Brigadier General (res.) Harel Kanfo, a member of the "Habithonistim" movement, was interviewed on Dana Varon's morning show, where he expressed his growing bewilderment regarding American policy:

"I am starting to feel that I no longer understand the Americans and what they want."

Previously, Israeli analysts and security officials estimated that the major attack on Iran planned for last weekend was halted due to a munitions shortage. However, President Donald Trump clarified that this assessment was incorrect, stating that munitions stockpiles are sufficient and not a factor affecting US strike capability. This has renewed questions regarding the true reasons for the delay.

Kanfo addressed the theory that American stalling in the Iran-Hormuz arena was influenced by the World Cup:

"The World Cup is over, yet there is still nothing on the table."

He noted that there are currently no negotiations, the Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed, and only an occasional ship passes through.

Describing Israel's stance, Kanfo stated:

"Israel is ready to intervene, but this time the regime must be brought down."

At the same time, he expressed a sense of helplessness regarding the ambiguity of American policy, suggesting that there appear to be disagreements within the Donald Trump administration between Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"I would like to see a ground invasion — at least for the Strait of Hormuz to be in American hands. This is the minimum required. The Iranians' hourglass relies on the Strait of Hormuz," he concluded.
