Shufersal Expands Golden Voucher Use to Africa Israel Hotels Nationwide
Shufersal and Africa Israel Hotels launched a partnership allowing holders of the 'Golden Voucher' to redeem balances for hotel stays across Israel with no blackout dates, expanding the voucher's utility into domestic tourism.

Shufersal Group and Africa Israel Hotels have announced a strategic partnership, expanding the utility of the widely used "Golden Voucher" ("Tav HaZahav") into Israel's hospitality and tourism sector. Under the new agreement, holders of the voucher—whether distributed by employers as holiday gifts or purchased privately as gift cards—can now redeem their balances to pay for stays at the chain's hotels across Israel.
The arrangement covers all hotel brands operated by Africa Israel Hotels, including VERT, Crowne Plaza, Poli, and Indigo. These properties are located in key tourism hubs across the country, such as Eilat, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Netanya.
According to the redemption terms established by the companies, vouchers can be utilized at 100% of their nominal value, with no spending caps and no blackout dates. The vouchers remain valid for use during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons, and can be combined with existing promotions and discounts.
Furthermore, the model provides transaction flexibility, permitting partial redemption of voucher balances as well as the combination of multiple vouchers in a single transaction. Redemption will be processed directly at hotel front desks during check-in. This move follows a similar partnership established by Shufersal roughly a month ago with Fattal Hotels, enabling customers to book vacations using the same Shufersal voucher.
Galit Dubin, VP of Shufersal Finance, noted that the collaboration aims to expand the range of services available to voucher holders, opening direct access to leisure and hospitality offerings nationwide. Liron Dalal Arad, VP of Sales at Africa Israel Hotels, added that the partnership provides an opportunity to introduce the chain's brands to hundreds of thousands of voucher holders seeking to finance domestic getaways.
Shufersal's "Golden Voucher" is one of Israel's most prevalent corporate gift instruments, accepted across hundreds of retail chains spanning fashion, footwear, food, consumer goods, cosmetics, and dining. This latest expansion allows Shufersal to extend its market footprint into domestic tourism, catering to consumers looking to utilize workplace gift budgets for vacations.
