Shas Denies Reports of Joining Government Led by Gadi Eisenkot
Shas has strongly denied reports of joining a government led by Gadi Eisenkot, reaffirming its commitment to the right-wing bloc following Avigdor Lieberman's recent remarks on draft law compromises.

Shas party leadership has officially dismissed reports suggesting its willingness to join a government led by opposition MK Gadi Eisenkot. The denial follows statements by Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Lieberman indicating a potential softening of his stance on ultra-Orthodox military conscription.
In an official statement released on Saturday evening, Shas characterized the reports as absolute fake news. The party emphasized its unwavering alignment with the right-wing bloc, guided by the directives of the Council of Torah Sages. Shas leadership reiterated that only official announcements reflect the party's actual position, dismissing speculation from media reports and commentators.
Political speculation grew after Lieberman announced he was prepared to compromise on the conscription bill to facilitate a coalition with ultra-Orthodox factions. While United Torah Judaism has maintained a cautious approach and refrained from endorsing any candidate for prime minister, sources within the party suggest that a broad agreement with Eisenkot could pave the way for Shas to follow suit.
Aryeh Deri, head of the Shas party, addressed the political dynamics in closed-door discussions, noting that any potential arrangement depends heavily on legislative concessions regarding military service exemptions and the broader coalition framework involving other centrist figures.
