Shaare Zedek Adopts Wonderful AI Tech to Streamline Patient Journey
Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Wonderful have signed an agreement to deploy artificial intelligence agents to streamline the patient journey, reduce bureaucracy, and provide personalized medical services.

Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Wonderful have signed an agreement to upgrade the patient experience using artificial intelligence technology. Wonderful's operating system will enable Shaare Zedek to develop innovation in the patient journey, including streamlining bureaucratic processes, guiding patients ahead of medical examinations and surgeries, and providing personalized medicine tailored to each patient's profile.
The deployment of AI agents, based on Wonderful's operating system, began in early September and will continue over the coming year. It will establish advanced digitization designed to reduce bureaucracy, make information more accessible, and improve the usability of the medical center's digital services, all while strictly adhering to patient privacy and regulatory compliance.
Through a multi-channel AI wrapper available across all platforms, including the Shaare Zedek website and communication channels, patients will be able to significantly reduce their reliance on the telephone appointment center. AI agents via WhatsApp or voice calls will operate continuously, allowing patients to independently schedule and cancel appointments and check availability in real time.
In subsequent phases, AI agents will guide patients in preparing for tests and surgeries, explaining necessary preparations such as required blood tests, ECGs, and fasting instructions. The operation of the agents will follow the principle of personalized medicine, adapting communication based on patient characteristics, such as selecting preferred languages or ensuring slower speech for elderly patients.
Shaare Zedek Medical Center Director-General Prof. Ofer Marin stated: "An integral part of medical care is a service experience that addresses the personal needs of every patient. As a medical center working to adapt to technological progress, the digitization we are promoting through this significant agreement with Wonderful is a necessary step to upgrade service and the patient experience."
