Enterprise software giant ServiceNow is expanding its AI and metadata management capabilities with the acquisition of Israeli startup Sweep. A spokesperson for ServiceNow confirmed the acquisition, but declined to comment on the financial terms of the deal. However, sources indicate the acquisition is valued at approximately $400 million.
Making the Enterprise AI-Ready
Founded in 2021 by Ido Gever and Eran Kirshenboim – who previously founded Flok before selling it to Wix – Sweep is designed to address the contextual blind spots that plague complex enterprise environments like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake. Over time, these platforms accumulate technical debt through fragmented configurations, disjointed automations, and complex permission structures. This problem is particularly exacerbated by the introduction of AI agents, which rapidly alter internal workflows.
Sweep’s platform addresses this by plugging directly into an organization’s existing systems, continuously extracting metadata, and mapping the company's business logic without requiring any infrastructure overhaul. At the core of its technology is a unified metadata graph that automatically maps all system dependencies into a single, centralized dashboard.
This model allows human development teams and AI agents to understand system behavior in real-time. It enables users to run simulations to safely gauge the cross-organizational impact of potential changes before deployment. Additionally, Sweep employs dedicated "metadata agents" to automate tedious maintenance tasks such as code documentation, system monitoring, process analysis, and permission management – effectively rendering the enterprise architecture fully AI-ready.
The startup currently employs a team of 90 people across offices in Tel Aviv, New York, Lisbon, and Madrid. According to PitchBook data, Sweep had raised approximately $57.6 million prior to the acquisition. Its most recent $22.5 million Series B was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners. Its enterprise customer roster includes notable brands like LG Electronics, Wix, Brex, NBC Sports, and Mass General Brigham.
"Sweep’s technology and expertise strengthen our AI-native development capabilities and advance agentic deployment for CRM. The impact for customers is direct: faster time-to-value as they scale agentic systems," the ServiceNow spokesperson said in a statement.
ServiceNow's Continued M&A Spree in Israel
This acquisition marks another milestone in ServiceNow's aggressive expansion and M&A strategy within the Israeli tech ecosystem. Over the past decade, the software giant has snapped up several Israeli startups, including Neebula, SkyGiraffe, Appsee, and Loom.
That pace has notably accelerated recently. In addition to acquiring Atrinet and securing a massive $7.75 billion deal for Armis, ServiceNow has been on a local buying spree in 2026 alone, snapping up Pyramid Analytics in February, Traceloop in March, and ai.work in July for an estimated tens of millions of dollars.
