Revolution at Bank Leumi: The unique service arriving for the first time in Israel
Bank Leumi is expanding its service revolution and launching its banking application in five languages: Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian, and French. Customers will be able to perform a variety of advanced operations in their preferred language.

Bank Leumi continues to lead the service revolution in the Israeli banking system and announces today an unprecedented move. From now on, the bank's application will be available in five different languages: Hebrew, English, Arabic, Russian, and French. The rollout of the new versions of the application to customers in the various languages has begun and is being carried out gradually.
As part of the move, Leumi customers will be able to choose the language they desire and find most comfortable in the application. This change will allow them to receive comprehensive information about their account and perform a wide range of banking operations with ease. Among the operations that can be performed in the various languages are receiving a status update on the current account and foreign currency account, ordering credit cards and checkbooks, money transfers in various currencies, RTGS transfers, foreign currency conversion, opening deposits, and taking out loans. The bank notes that additional operations and services will be added to these languages in the future.
It is important to note that in the Leumi application in Hebrew, it is already possible today to perform an exceptionally wide range of operations, with almost one hundred percent of common banking operations being performable through it digitally. For example, Leumi is the first bank in Israel that allows its customers to book a Zoom video call with a banker directly from within the application, and even take out a mortgage in a fully digital process from start to finish.
The launch of the multilingual application is another layer in the service revolution that the bank has been leading in recent years. This revolution includes a significant expansion of operating hours in telephone service centers, which now operate twenty-four hours a day, including Saturday nights. In addition, the bank has committed to resolving every customer's request within one business day at most, and has established the "CEO's Patrol," a special service team reporting directly to the bank's CEO and responsible for providing solutions to inquiries that were not handled within the set time.
Eyal Efrat, head of the Banking Division at Leumi, commented on the move and stated that as the "number one bank," they are committed to making services accessible to customers through all channels:
"The launch of the application in five languages is a first-of-its-kind move in the banking system that reflects the bank's service philosophy, according to which advanced banking must also be accessible, personal, and simpler."
He added that at Leumi, they are proud to give hundreds of thousands of customers the opportunity to manage their financial needs in the language that is comfortable for them, at any time and from any place.
