Ruslana Rodina: "People don't know this about me"
After a high-profile breakup, a new relationship, and the storms surrounding her son Yan, Ruslana Rodina reveals a surprising detail about how she manages her finances in relationships, while addressing her future with her new partner, Ami.
Ruslana Rodina is currently, by her own account, in one of the best periods of her life. After an intense phase that included a breakup, professional changes, and significant public exposure, she shares in an interview with "Walla Ishi" details about her new relationship, her son Yan, and the personal growth she has experienced in recent years. However, it is when discussing money and relationships that one of the most surprising revelations of the interview emerges.
"I am in a really good period," says Rodina. "After a very intense and long phase, I am currently in a period of flourishing and growth." According to her, the relationship with Ami developed quickly, and she already sees him as a person who could be a significant part of her future.
"He really reminds me of myself, he really reminds me of home," she says.
When asked if he might become her husband, she replied: "I don't know. It could be." Rodina also mentions that she has always wanted three children, and if things continue as they are, she sees this possibility within her current relationship as well.
Alongside this new chapter, Rodina addresses the breakup with Itay Paz and its impact on her son Yan. According to her, it was an especially difficult separation for him because, unlike the breakup with Eyal Golan, which he does not remember, he already knew and remembered life with Itay.
Despite the separation, the bond between Yan and Itay has been maintained. "They love each other, and as long as they want it, I will never prevent it," she says.
The criticism Yan received following his participation in a campaign also occupies her. Rodina clarifies that when it comes to her son, she does not intend to remain silent: "I don't care what they say about me. It doesn't interest me, it passes me by. But when it comes to my child? No, I will respond. This is my child."
Then comes the revelation concerning her personally. Rodina rejects the narrative that partners have financed her lifestyle and asserts that she has always maintained financial independence. "I have never lived at someone else's expense in my life. Not even with Eyal," she says.
According to her, even within a relationship, she prefers to operate independently: "For me, it's always fifty-fifty." She explains that even during periods when she lived with partners, she did not have a joint account and never asked a partner to finance her purchases: "If I want to fly tomorrow, I get up, buy a plane ticket, pay, and fly. People don't know this."
Rodina also addresses the criticism she has received over the years regarding her thinness. She speaks of a childhood friend who suffered from anorexia after trying to achieve a body similar to hers, and explains that this experience deeply influenced her attitude toward criticism of other women's bodies.
Now she is looking forward—both in her career and in her personal life. Alongside her work in the industry and the jewelry business, she says she has always been drawn to the field of criminology and does not rule out studying it in the future.
As for Ami, she is not rushing to promise a wedding, but she is not closing the door either: "If everything continues like this, yes. I don't see anything else."
