"Spreading vile lies about the children of journalists?": Rotem Sela defends Guy Peleg
The 43-year-old model and presenter expressed her outrage on Instagram regarding attacks against her close friend, legal commentator Guy Peleg. Photos of his 17-year-old daughter have been circulating on social media alongside serious, false allegations. Sela stated: "I am truly asking myself — are there no boundaries?"
A wave of fake news has been spreading since Tuesday on Telegram, centering on Roni, the daughter of Channel 12 reporter Guy Peleg. Reports on Telegram claimed that the 17-year-old girl sent information to the Iranians a week after the start of Operation Lion's Roar. Peleg has been under intense scrutiny for some time against the backdrop of the Military Advocate General affair.
Rotem Sela, a close friend of Peleg, did not remain indifferent to the attack on his child. She uploaded a sharp story to her Instagram account, writing:
"I am truly asking myself — are there no boundaries? Spreading vile lies about the children of news reporters?"
Sela added: "How is it not clear as day that the line is crossed when it comes to children? The Telegram channels that spread fake news at the expense of innocent children — you are using digital weapons. Weapons in every sense, and their consequences are real, enormous, and severe. You can argue. You can criticize. You can be angry. But children are off-limits. Period! Please, do not give a hand to this. Do not share and do not spread horrific and false publications on the backs of children."
