Rotem Sela on Gal Gadot: "It's hard to be next to her"
Gal Gadot, Rotem Sela, and Deni Avdija discussed their flight habits. Gadot shared her energy-clearing rituals, while Sela humorously noted the challenges of being her seatmate.
When you bring together Hollywood star Gal Gadot, presenter and actress Rotem Sela, and NBA star Deni Avdija for a joint 'El Al' panel, it's hard not to catch them in the most open and funny conversations. Between the humor and personal stories, the trio went over their flight habits, the challenges at 30,000 feet, and the little secrets they usually keep to themselves.
The interviewer asked about superstitions and rituals before takeoff. Gal Gadot did not hide her unique customs:
"I enter the plane with my right foot, I sit down, I pray to God that the flight will go well, and I do all the signs and dances. I clear energies for you here, from any bad energy, so that you will be blessed."
Rotem Sela, for her part, added with a smile: "And she does it every few minutes, I swear, I'm not exaggerating. Understand how hard it is to be next to her!"
For Deni Avdija, the physical challenge on planes is the main issue due to his height (2.06 meters). Avdija admitted that he is always in a hurry to get up as soon as the plane lands: "It's hard for me on planes; it's crowded, the legs, so I'm dying to get out." In addition, when asked about a must-have item he takes with him on a flight that no one would guess, Avdija surprised those present: "You won't believe me, but a face mask! The plane is very drying."
The differences between flights were also reflected in the way the participants spend their time in the air. Gadot shared about the change in her flight experience since she became a mom: "If it's without kids, it's the most fun. Yaron and I used to fly together, I would just sleep the whole flight, but with the girls, it's a bit more difficult and complex." Sela talked about the fact that she is in the busiest time of her life and needs vacations: "I feel that I work really hard, so I try as much as possible to find time to fly and travel—trips with the kids, another trip with friends, another one with my husband."
When Gadot and Sela were asked who among them would survive better as a flight attendant, they agreed that both are built for the task because of their past experience in the service sector. "I was a waitress for years," said Sela, and Gadot was quick to add: "Me too!"
Sela summarized the dynamic between them on set with mutual praise: "We are both cut from the same cloth, whether it's reaching the perfect take, the right lighting, you know, the atmosphere on set. I really worked with a professional," as she clarified that working closely with Gadot was an experience resembling true professionalism and perfectionism.
