Roni Maane against Netanyahu: "He met with the murderer, hugged him and called him my friend"
Businessman Roni Maane shared a video of Gadi Eisenkot on X and attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, presenting what he calls the Likud's "campaign of lies and fear."

Businessman Roni Maane, one of the Prime Minister's sharpest critics, often expresses his views on issues that receive widespread public and media discourse in Israel. In a new post on his X account, Roni Maane referred to a video circulated on social media, in which Gadi Eisenkot expresses criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's conduct.
"I discovered that all eight people who ran against Netanyahu experienced the same experience, from Shimon Peres to me. There were three motifs that repeated all the time. First, only the Likud knows how to provide security. Second, the candidate allegedly relied on Arab parties. Third, the candidate will bring about a Palestinian state," said Eisenkot.
Continuing his remarks, he presented the erroneous moves that he claims led to the complex political situation:
"We are today in a situation where Netanyahu brought Israel to its lowest security point under a right-wing government. Netanyahu pursued Arab parties and Mansour Abbas and slanders everyone. Netanyahu repeated his agreement to a Palestinian state four times during his political life. Both in 2020 for the Trump plan and a few months ago for the 20 points that end with a horizon for a Palestinian state, and I hope that this mask can be removed from his face and bring the citizens of Israel to the feeling that we have already seen this movie."
Alongside sharing the video, Maane wrote to his followers: "Accurate. Bibi is working on a fear campaign. Fear and pinning Ahmad Tibi, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Abbas on every candidate. I don't understand the voters, how do they fall for a lying campaign that repeats itself? The Likud and its leader brought the greatest disaster since the Holocaust and they blame Eisenkot for wanting to stop the war in Gaza, and that is not true."
Maane also wrote: "Bibi wanted Abbas in his government, traveled to the Negev to the Muslim Brotherhood, they called him Abu Yair. Mansour Abbas was at Balfour more than any minister in Netanyahu's government. He asked, he said with his own voice 2 states. Bibi met with the murderer Arafat, hugged him four times and called him my friend. Bibi saw Hezbollah arming itself and did nothing. Bibi returned parts of Hebron. The funniest thing is, they are trying to pin Mansour Abbas on him and that is only in theory. A campaign that repeats itself. Bibi will be defeated."
