Former hostage Rom Braslavski has separated from Shoham, his partner of the last six months, as announced by Rom in a video he posted last night on his TikTok account. His partner, a Pilates instructor, supported him through the long rehabilitation process he required after two years in captivity by the terrorist organization Hamas.

In the video he posted on TikTok to the sounds of Omer Adam's song "Mami, it's over," Rom wrote: "Mom, I don't know what is harder, captivity or a breakup," and added: "At least I didn't get run over." On his Instagram account, he also shared a picture with a large broken heart.

"At least I didn't get run over 😢💔"

Only a short time ago, the couple appeared in a special feature for Tu B'Av that aired on Channel 13. Rom said that when he returned from captivity, he looked for a way to strengthen his muscles again and chose Pilates. "I thought about what sport could be good to reawaken the muscle," he said.

"I saw that he posted on Facebook that he was looking for an instructor, and I sent him a message that I would be happy to train him," said Shoham. The reply came three days after the post, and Rom suggested: "If you want, we can do something else that isn't Pilates, like a cute date."

"I could have chosen someone who is like a psychologist, who would be calm and with whom I could have conversations, and then I met Shoham, and there are no masks with her," Rom said. "My psychologist told me: 'Listen, I think it's good that you have such a girl, and she doesn't give up on me. My feelings, the anxiety attacks — not every person can contain it, and I don't necessarily share everything.'"
